Securing employment after incarceration is one of the toughest challenges of reentry. Companies may deny applications if the applicant has a criminal record, and multiple rejections can be discouraging to the applicant or lead to opting out of the job search. onBoard: IDOC Re-entry Job Board was designed by NYU’s Marron Institute for the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to give currently incarcerated people a jumpstart on their job search.

This project was created with support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation as part of the Safety and Justice Challenge, which seeks to reduce over-incarceration by changing the way America thinks about and uses jails.
